Tortas and tacos are fire. I come here twice a week since it's pretty close to my job. Service is excellent, I'm always treated like a friend. Buena sazon!

Delicious, savory, satisfying traditional excellence. Props to this unassuming place for serving some of the best Mexican traditional style food I have had in all of the Chicagoland area. This is as homestyle as it gets, with warm friendly service to boot. Prices are not the same as some old photos posted up from the past- but they make up for it in quantity AND quality!!! There are several tables outside for dining in the sun facing the busy street (Montrose Ave), but you will be enjoying your food so much you won't even care. Steak tacos were perfect as well as the chicken torta. The bread on the torta was perfectly toasted, soft and fresh, and the proportions of everything were more than I expected. The traditional refried beans and rice served on the side were piping hot, tasty, and good proportions as well. My Horchata tasted creamy and sweet, not watered down or overly sugary either. Meat lovers out there, if you are in the mood for an extra big torta, try the signature Fogata Torta -which boasts egg ham AND breaded chicken- dannnng, good luck with that!

One thing about this place, you’ll always leave full and wanting to come back again for good food and good service. Love the fact that they came through with the heart shape taco tray WITH a heart shaped cheesecake. My wife LOVED it, specially it’s for the duration of February. Definitely coming back for many years to come!

This place is fantastic! I love the chicken tacos here. But I have also had the steak tacos, and the steak burrito and everything is good. The red sauce they give you with the tacos is so flavorful too. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

If you enjoy a real home cooked meal like you get when you arrive to your home town in Mexico tortillas made from scratch flavors that melt within the first bite and services like family made that meal with love & tenderness this is the place! I went to visit my aunt at the Montrose cemetery not to far from here 1st time coming & I will definitely be back! I had 5 Tacos De Carnitas & my boyfriend the Gorditas De Asada amazing!!! Me and hubby went here and HELLO? this place has AMAZING food here. The service is AMAZING, and everyone here is friendly and sociable. I definitely recommend coming here, especially during the love season valentine special with my hubby is the way to go!
